Two Pints

October 2012

Sean Noone and I created a performance called 'Two Pints'. The show was about the history and current issues (in 2012 when the play was produced) that related to Deaf culture, identity and  included facts, comedy and impacted the audiences in a different way.

Here is a short extract from the playscript:

Pause. Sean and MJ sips a drink at the same time.

Sean:

What about us? 2 pints together? Can we still meet up?

MJ:

I don't know.

Sean:

I enjoy your company. We are the only deaf people in this village. Like I said before, deaf is very rare around here. I really like having a pint with you.

MJ:

I don't know.

Sean:

You know when I come here. I know you come here at the same time. We can't avoid each other.
