Shout Festival invited InteGreat Theatre to perform a one off show to represent the LBGTQIA+ community, especially those from the deaf community, and included sign songs.
I performed and co-directed this short show.
'Monopoly the Musical'
July 2011
An epic new production of Monopoly the Musical created by Ruth Hands and co-directed by Angela and me.
We created each character from the board game along with their storylines and played the game with character dices. We had a lot of support in creating props, just to make the production possible. We performed in Birmingham Hippodrome and every show was sold out!
'SignSational'
July 2010
This was InteGreat's first performance as a company and since we launched as a community theatre. I co-worked with Angela and we focused on bringing the best talent out of all deaf, hard of hearing and hearing participants. We performed a variety of sketches, sign songs, dances, comedy and debates (acting). The backstage crew were BSL users (a mix of deaf and hearing people) and all shows were sold out!
